Find Art
An app designed to help users buy tickets to art exhibitions simply and quickly
Role: Lead Designer Duration: 6 months
The Challenge
How might we design an app which allows users of varying ages to book tickets to art exhibitions simply and quickly?
The Process
Empathising through research, Defining the problem, Ideating solutions, Prototyping, Testing the product.
Research
From a survey of 44 users aged between 18-67, 77.3% preferred to book online via a website due to factors like small-screen anxiety, confusing and stressful app experiences and app-fatigue.
I found this data surprising as my pre-conceived notion that younger users would prefer in-app booking was challenged.
With this in mind, I created a responsive website so that users had options, while ensuring the app was as intuitive and simple to navigate as possible.
Design Iteration
Like most of my projects, I drew my first wireframes on paper, as this process allows me to get ideas down and iterate quickly.
Once I moved on to making my first lofi digital wireframes I changed around some of the elements from my initial drawings, such as simplifying the frames visually to avoid information overload- something my research highlighted can be a user pain point.

Reflections
This project taught me that the best ideas come from challenging our own assumptions. My research revealed that users across all ages share core needs—clarity, control, and human support—that transcend platform preference. I'm genuinely proud of Find Art as a clean, efficient ticketing solution.
My research opened exciting possibilities for its evolution. With more development time, I'd love to expand it into a fuller community connection tool, incorporating events, workshops, and multiple gallery locations to help people discover and engage with art together.
